On August 8, 2025, the Inaugural Meeting of the Professional Committee for Plasma Application Technology of China Electronics Standardization Association (CESA) and the "Seminar on the Development of Plasma Industrial Applications Under the AI Wave" was grandly held at Beijing Xiyuan Hotel. Leaders from the Basic Division of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and CESA, as well as leading enterprises in the electronic circuit industry, top scientific research institutions and authoritative experts in related fields, gathered together to witness the launch of the Professional Committee and discuss cutting-edge technology integration and green development paths.
Jointly Built by Authorities to Blueprint a New Chapter for the Industry
The meeting kicked off with a welcome speech by Mr. Li Zhiqiang, Chairman of Zhuhai Hengge Microelectronics Equipment Co., Ltd., the representative of the leading unit of the CESA Plasma Professional Committee.
Subsequently, Zhang Hongtu, Chairman of CESA, delivered a speech. He fully affirmed the strategic value of plasma technology in the electronic information industry, put forward guiding opinions on the future development of the Professional Committee, and emphasized the need to strengthen standard construction and technological innovation to inject new momentum into industrial upgrading.
Ding Ran, Secretary-General of CESA, read out the establishment resolution on site, announcing that the Plasma Professional Committee was officially approved for establishment.
The Professional Committee is Unveiled and Launched to Build an Industry Collaboration Platform
Sun Zhe from the Basic Division of the Electronic Information Department of MIIT, Zhang Hongtu (Chairman of CESA), Ding Ran (Secretary-General of CESA) and other guests attended the meeting. Zhang Hongtu (Chairman of CESA) and Li Zhiqiang (Director of the Professional Committee) jointly unveiled the plaque, marking a new stage in the standardization and collaborative innovation of China's plasma technology.
Zhuhai Hengge Microelectronics Equipment Co., Ltd. was elected as the Chairman Unit, and its General Manager Li Zhiqiang served as the Director of the Professional Committee. Six units including China Electronic Circuit Industry Association, Shengyi Electronics, and Jiangxi Electronic Circuit Research Center were awarded the Vice-Chairman Units. Six individuals including Zhu Min, Lü Honggang, and Zhou Guoyun were awarded Vice-Director Certificates. 19 leading industrial chain enterprises and institutions including Guangdong Yidun Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhuhai Founder Technology became the first batch of member units.

Certificates Awarded and Experts Appointed to Strengthen Organizational Strength
At the meeting, the list of the first batch of invited expert groups was announced simultaneously. More than 14 authoritative industry experts including Wang Longji, He Wei, Tao Bowan, and Lin Jian were appointed to provide support for technological breakthroughs and standard-setting.
In his speech, Wang Longji, Lifetime Honorary Secretary-General of China Electronic Circuit Industry Association, stated that the establishment of the Professional Committee is an important milestone for China's domestic electronic industry to transform from a "manufacturing power" to a "technology power". After more than half a century of development, China's electronic circuit industry has achieved a global production scale accounting for more than two-thirds, and the domestic equipment and material system has been gradually improved. Industry leaders represented by Li Zhiqiang, a core member of Professor He Wei's team from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, are promoting Chinese standards from "learning and introduction" to "independent formulation". Today, the establishment of the Professional Committee will further gather the strength of industry, university and research institutions, seize the high ground of plasma technology standards, and help China gain more say in the international electronic industry field.
Focus on Standard Construction and Technology Integration
The First Industry Standard is Officially Launched
Li Zhiqiang, Chairman of the Professional Committee, stated in his inauguration speech that the Professional Committee will focus on three major tasks: "technological collaborative innovation, standard system construction, and in-depth integration of industry, university and research", and accelerate the industrial application of plasma technology in semiconductors, PCB, display packaging and other fields.
Han Wenyang, Secretary-General, further announced the work plan, clearly focusing on the standard system construction plan and standard promotion and application strategies. The first standard, "Technical Specification for Online Plasma Degumming of Printed Circuit Boards", was launched. The committee will organize production line parameter verification and practicality evaluation to ensure the scientificity and practicality of the standard, which is planned to be released on December 30, 2026.
Representatives of four participating units - Zhuhai Hengge Microelectronics, Shengyi Electronics, Founder Technology, and Yidun Electronics - together with senior experts Zhou Guoyun and Zhu Min, jointly pressed the launch handprint symbolizing cooperation and innovation. This marks a key step in the standardized development of the industry and injects new momentum into the standardized development of the industry.

In-depth Application Analysis: Professor He Wei from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China systematically explained the core application value and latest breakthroughs of plasma technology in PCB, packaging substrates and integrated circuit packaging, demonstrating the leading domestic scientific research achievements.
Advanced Packaging Empowerment: Zhang Xiaojie from AT&S Technology shared how plasma technology efficiently improves the process performance and yield of fan-out panel-level packaging, revealing its key role in breaking through the limitations of traditional packaging.
Semiconductor Equipment Research: Lin Jian, Chairman of Honghu Semiconductor, in-depth analyzed the strict technical requirements and innovative solutions of plasma application for semiconductor equipment transmission systems, emphasizing the key details of technology implementation.
Green Manufacturing Transformation: Li Zhiqiang, Chairman of Zhuhai Hengge, prospectively discussed the inevitable trend of plasma dry degumming technology replacing polluting wet processes in the PTH line of PCB manufacturing, pointing out that this is the core path for the industry to achieve green and low-carbon development.
